Accommodation
Fasque Castle has limited on-site accommodation, and we’re able to host up to 60 guests on the estate itself. If you are staying at Fasque, it will be clearly noted on your invitation.
Glenesk Hotel
We have a room block at Glenesk hotel in the nearby town. It will be clearly stated on your invitation if we suggest you book with Glenesk hotel. Upon booking, mention that you are booking one of the rooms in the Schwarting/Vernon wedding room block
We would recommend spending the night before the wedding at Glenesk as well as the night of. They have breakfast, both cooked and continental included in your room booking.
Hotel to Venue Transport
We will be arranging a bus to take people from Glenesk hotel to Fasque castle on the day of the wedding, you will be notified upon check-in of what time the bus will depart Glenesk to go to the wedding.
Travel
Flights
There are three airports in Scotland you can choose to fly into:
- Aberdeen airport (ABZ) is the closest to Fasque: 41 minute drive
- Edinburgh airport (EDI) is the second closest to Fasque: 2 hour drive
- Glasgow airport (GLA) is the furthest from Fasque: 2.5 hour drive
We would recommend renting a car whether you choose to fly into Aberdeen or one of the bigger airports like Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Please Note: if you rent a car, they drive on the other side of the road.
Other
We want you to enjoy your time in Europe for as long as you would like before the wedding. Please feel free to explore the highlands, as long as you are back in Fettercairn in time for the big day!
